I purchased an advertisement in the school newspaper (an insert) that showed Uncle Sam pointing at the reader with the caption "Don't Vote --unless you cast an informed ballot." We followed with voting records of our local politicians directly out of the Congressional Record and wondered if voters knew how they voted or just how they made campaign promises. The paper came out and an avowed socialist anti-anticommunist professor saw it and mobilized his indoctrinated students to go and remove the insert out of all the papers on the stands. The president of the school at the time, Ed Eissey, did not take any action against the professor or any student. The insert did not advocate for any candidate at the time. It was all about making an effort to understand the issues and voting your own conclusions from the data, not just voting by party or name recognition. Her response to my call to have Ms. Ford-Morris fired was that it was under review and that, at this point, they had not received any evidence from the students as to the allegations that Mrs. Ford-Morris had been contacted in July regarding their request to set up a club and that she did approve it.
